Nehellenia is just transferring EVERYTHING on to Usagi right now. Everything slight she’s ever felt, every failure she’s ever experienced. Right now every last bit of it is Usagi’s fault, further highlighting how far gone Nehellenia is right now. And I love how she phrases it. Like that was such an innocent thing to reach for, like it was Usagi who was greedy and wouldn’t share with it. Which in Nehellenia’s mind? Probably completely true. Nehellenia is truly a fantastic villain, and this arc is delivering everything I was disappointed not to see in SuperS. Do you have anything in your canon voltron death ray railgun thing (I DON’T KNOW WHATEVER THE FUCK IT IS) about Queen Serenity’s origins? Nothing’s coming to mind at the moment. I’m just wondering if maybe Princess Serenity did seal Nehellenia away, it just wasn’t Usagi!Princess Serenity, but her mother. Obviously that’s still transference liek woah, but I would love for Nehellenia to at some point realize that she thinks she’s getting revenge on the actual person who fucked her life over, but that woman has been dead for centuries. Because at first that would hurt like hell, but then it wouldn’t matter and the hate would flow again, perhaps even stronger now. How dare your mother have her happiness torn from her grasp and then ultimately triumph. How dare she defy the laws of time and nature by saving your life, saving your friends and your prince, and sending you to be reborn. How dare she love you that much. How dare she hate me and love you. How dare you be loved, while I suffer. How dare you.
