keyofnik: So Ami figures out it’s been the Death Star this whole time and tells Haruka to use the force, and using force is something Haruka’s actually really great at, which is convenient. They work together and shatter their fake mirror world — which appears to have also held a fake mirror Nehellenia — and it looks like more kicking of ass is going to commence. But what I’m wondering here in this moment? I wonder if Haruka will learn anything. It would be nice if she did. It would be nice if maybe next time Ami says “Wait hold up” Haruka doesn’t answer with “WHAT ARE YOU SAYING WE SHOULD STAND RIGHT HERE UNTIL WE DIE OF STARVATION AND OUR BONES CRUMBLE INTO DUST WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF SENSHI ARE YOU?!?” But I’m also forced to wonder. Haruka is SO VERY HARUKA sometimes, and sometimes she doesn’t learn so quickly. Will she dismiss this moment as a one off? I like to think not. I like to think that she’s gained some better understanding of Ami’s value (or just the fact that hey, things that aren’t necessarily your things actually HAVE value). Overriding all of that though will be the certainty that Haruka is RIGHT. Whatever she thinks, first and foremost, she’s right. I think what’s most likely is that Haruka will do it her way first. And if/when that fails, then she’ll consider listening to Ami. I don’t think it’ll take her quite this long, though. Tiny progress, perhaps, but progress.
