keyofnik: So as discussed, Ami and I decided it was time for her Simshi to have a bigger, better house. At first we looked at moving them to other towns, but weren’t finding anything that really appealed. Solution: find a house here. There wasn’t anything that appealed in size, layout, and decor, but this one hit in the two first two areas, which were by far the most important (as neither Ami nor I are apparently adept at building a house from scratch). So then it was down to simply redoing the look (it started life as a huge log cabin, basically), which took a while, but was finally completed. It’s functionally a three storey house, with a large living room, dining room, and kitchen (a large kitchen was SUPER important), three big bedrooms (Ami liked the girls sharing rooms and wanted to keep with that), and an attic space that currently has no function. We tried to put in a basement for a game room, but weren’t successful in figuring out how to get that to work, so we may turn the garage into a game room down the line. Lots of blues and greens wound up in the decor. Ami likes blues and greens.
