Of course, more important than total downloads is the actual percentage of active web users that use the browser. Recent stats peg Firefox with 22 percent of the browser market, up about 4 percent from this time last year. Meanwhile, Safari continues to grow, while upstart Google Chrome is slowly gaining adoption.
