keyofnik: thehubby: Sylia and Linna arrive with just seconds to spare. In fact, this is such a close call that another minute spent discussing the mission before heading out, and the Gryphon would have been destroyed and Priss along with it. It was probably all part of Sylia’s careful calculations but even so, her and Linna’s motoslaves can only barely hold the weight of Priss and her two passengers, as the lovely spark effect here shows. I’d have to see the scene again to be sure, but if I remember right, Priss hasn’t even seen Linna and Sylia when she lets go. I get that her options are very limited at the moment, but (assuming I’m remembering the scene correctly), I always felt this was an important moment to showcase Priss’s renewed trust. She’s been so hurt, so much, and has relied on herself alone for so long. She could’ve taken her chances. She could’ve tried something stupid and reckless but wholly HER own plan with only herself to fuck it up. She doesn’t. She lets go and puts herself completely in the hands of the others. And they’re there, whether Priss knew it or not. They’re there and they catch her, just like they said they would.
