keyofnik: And just as adorable is how I’m positive Usagi isn’t even remembering that Sailor Moon and the Senshi is an option right now. She just wants to make Naru feel better, so let’s go check it out! Either they find out what’s really going on and fix it, or find out there’s nothing and ease Naru’s worries. I haven’t really liveblogged that episode yet, but something I remember enjoying about Episode 26 was that the Senshi think Usagi’s slacking off, when really she’s being the best Usagi she knows how to be and trying to make her friend feel better. That IS Usagi’s brand of training, really, that IS how Usagi leads the way. It’s an interesting way to show Usagi’s emotional development and maturity while still not quite having her practice them within the core group of characters. They’re all much more damaged people and will require much more work, but Usagi can learn how to be a better friend with Naru, so when the time comes to really tackle the others, she’s up to the task. Especially with what I was saying earlier, about how I see this as probably the deepest, most sincere moment Naru and Usagi have shared yet, it’s heartwarming to see Usagi so effortlessly rising to the challenge. For a girl who, just ten episodes ago, did not give even a tiny shit about anything beyond her own desires, Usagi’s grown so much.
