keyofnik: This is only throwing an armload of fuel onto my “Mako and photographs” headcanon. Which I cannot seem to find to link to at the moment but is basically that Mako is addicted to taking pictures, ALL THE TIME, and just has boxes and boxes full of them. So OF COURSE she would want a painting. A painting feels timeless. A painting feels FOREVER. But not a portrait of herself, hell no.It’ll be EVERYONE. Everyone squished in and trying to hold a pleasant pose for like three hours. They start off strong, then by the end of the whole thing Usagi’s passed out and sprawled half over Rei, Minako’s keeps flicking Rei’s ear and pretending it wasn’t her BUT REI KNOWS IT WAS, Ami’s snuck out a book despite the fact that Mako had already removed four of them from Ami’s person, leading to further speculation that Ami’s Hammerspace consists of one henshin wand, one computer, and SEVEN THOUSAND BOOKS. And Mako’s at the back, her arms still around Minako’s shoulders on her right and Ami’s shoulders on her left, and the hugest happiest grin ever because there’s no way this painting is going to be anything less than absolutely perfect.
