donatello-hamato: {Send me a word and I’ll tell you the first thing that pops into my head.} You have me remembering the first time I ever saw it (well what did you expect?). Mikey and I were ten years old. All four of us were dangerously curious about Top Side at that age, but surprisingly, only the two of us weren’t all that afraid to act on that curiosity. We had snuck out of the lair and ventured to the nearest manhole, just for a peek; little did we know, the streets of New York had just been blanketed with a fresh layer of snow. I, of course, knew what snow was and had seen pictures of it before, but actually seeing it fall out of the sky and touching it in person was on a whole different level. Although the white stuff itself was incredibly fascinating to me, Mikey’s face was the best thing I got to see that day. That innocent, wide look of wonder still shows up in his eyes today whenever it falls.
